Trust us, you’ll love starting your Friday and first day of April with Jenn + Reid’s DIY wedding. (No pranks here!) It’s a little glam—can you tell from that bouquet by the bride’s sister + florist Fox Floral Design Studio?—and so creative. They wanted to use as many local San Diego talents as possible, so they chose Encinitas nursery Barrels & Branches as a venue + Katrina Louise to capture it. Perhaps the cocktail bar will inspire a weekend soiree??

On the venue, c/o our bride… The intimacy of the gardens at Barrels & Branches Nursery and the fact that it was located in our hometown was perfect. The venue hadn’t hosted many weddings prior so they were really flexible and accommodated nearly all of our personal requests while allowing us to be as creative as possible. They had 100 guests there too.

So many pretty roses in this bouquet recipe: Romantic Antike garden rose, Juliet garden rose, piano garden rose, dahlia, astilbe, ranunculus, scabiosa, bombastic roses, chocolate cosmos, blushing bride

And the color palette: deep burgundies, pops of peach and coral, copper and metal accents

Jennifer is a mixologist/bartender, so we gotta think this cocktail station with Snake Oil Cocktail Co drinks was pretty amazing. Oh, and the rest of the wedding style? She’s into feminine boho chic, and he’s into craftsman/industrial so they just combined the two. See how it came together on this Pinterest board.

Those candelabras? Welded by Reid’s dad!

It began to rain as we toasted to our new chapter with bottles of bubbly while dancing the night away to Hallelujah I Love Her So by Ray Charles. It was the perfect ending to our big day and the most amazing start to our future.

Doesn’t that sound incredible? Congrats you two!
