Kids Paint & Plant Workshop
Sunday, August 13, 11am-12:30pm
Taught by Rachael of Infinite Succulent, join us for a fun kids session of painting and then planting 6” terra cotta pots with beautiful and durable succulent plants. Along with their personalized pots, students will also be given opportunity to paint decorative items for their living works of art such as rocks, popsicle sticks and driftwood pieces. Additional decorative elements such as mosses and rocks, colorful crushed glasses and sea glass will also be available as top dressing materials. Students will also learn the basics of habitats, plant biology, water conservation and how to care for their living art.
Snacks and water will be provided – please bring your child’s refillable water bottle.
Rachael Cohen, the creator and owner of Infinite Succulent, is an experienced environmental educator whose resume includes the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Rachael holds a B.A. in Sociology & Environmental Studies from Brandeis University, and a MAS in Marine Biodiversity & Conservation from Scripps Institute of Oceanography at UCSD. Rachael is an experienced informal educator, and infuses all of her work with passion, creativity and environmental stewardship.
